ABOUT US

The Just-In-Time initiative is a space created by Fay Rackley and Denise Cosby to support families surviving the loss of a loved one due to murder or homicide. After experiencing traumatic events of this kind, Denise and Fay decided to design an organization that could bridge the gaps they observed in existing support groups. Just-In-Time was born organically and as such, its organizers are willing to give this initiative the structure it needs to create a bigger impact in the community it serves. Thus far, Just-In-Times consists of a Facebook group with over 2000 members and bi-weekly Zoom meetings with special guests that range from mental health professionals to law professionals who share their expertise in varied subjects such as healing and criminal justice.

To uplift, encourage, motivate, and educate 

others “Just-in-Time” as we go through this journey of surviving murder and trying to find our way to healing. 

Not one stands alone. 

We educate and support families as they navigate the criminal justice system and their own processes of mourning and healing. Please join us for our Sunday Meetings on Zoom in which participants get to share with different experts in a wide array of areas from grief counseling to criminal justice who share their expertise with the hopes of expanding the toolkit of families dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic death.
